Kumon West Pennant Hills Education Centre, in Sydney’s north-west, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Sarah Cheong.
Sarah comes from a background in genetic science and so understands the benefits of building a strong academic foundation from an early age. Through instructing Kumon’s maths and English programmes, Sarah hopes to develop local children into confident learners.
“Kumon supports the local community by providing structured learning that complements school education,” Sarah explains. “It offers a safe and encouraging environment where children strengthen maths and English skills at their own pace.”
“This builds confidence, improves school performance, and supports long-term academic success and wellbeing.”
Kumon’s benefits also go beyond school, as Sarah explains, providing students with a strong foundation for future learning.
“The Kumon Method values independent learning through carefully structured worksheets that build skills step by step,” Sarah says. “[This helps] students develop independence, perseverance, and confidence.”
“The learning fosters life skills, persistence, consistency, and resilience, that can be applied in all areas, preparing students for academic challenges, future careers, and personal growth throughout their lives.”
Kumon West Pennant Hills is located at Valley Community Centre, 42A Hill Road, West Pennant Hills, NSW 2125. Classes operate on Tuesday and Friday afternoons from 3:15pm to 6:45pm. Sarah is looking forward to welcoming many new families to Kumon West Pennant Hills.
“I am proud to be part of a programme focused on long-term student development,” Sarah says. “My goal is to create a supportive environment where students grow academically, gain confidence, and develop independence.”
