Kumon Robina Education Centre, located on the south of Queensland’s Gold Coast, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Naoko Sripunporn.
Naoko is an experienced businesswoman with a career spanning multiple countries, including Hong Kong and Australia. Her four children also all studied Kumon. The breakthrough results her children experienced through Kumon inspired Naoko to become an Instructor and to support other local families.
“I really connect with Kumon’s mission statement to, ‘foster sound, capable people and thus contribute to a global community’”, Naoko says. “I look forward to guiding my students to develop as independent learners and pursue their potential.”
“In the future, I hope to see my students contributing to their community, knowing that the Kumon programmes may have assisted them to develop their skills along the way.”
Kumon Robina has also relocated to a new venue, Shop 5057, Level 1, 19 Robina Town Centre Drive, Robina, QLD 4226. Classes operate on Monday afternoons from 2pm to 5pm, Tuesday afternoons from 3pm to 6pm, and Friday afternoons from 3:30pm to 5:45pm.
“As a brand-new Kumon Instructor, I hope to strengthen my ties to the Robina community as I continue to welcome many new students to my centre”, Naoko says. “I aim to be known as providing local children with valuable educational opportunities to extend their studies and build confidence in themselves.”
And while Kumon develops students’ fundamental skills in mathematics and reading, the benefits don’t stop there, as Naoko explains.
“Kumon teaches lifelong skills like self-learning, problem-solving, and perseverance”, she says. “Through organising, prioritising, and turning these into habits, children build confidence and understand that hard work pays off.”
“These skills empower them to excel in all areas of life, shaping their success both now and in the future.”
“I want my students and families to experience the confidence and joy of learning, and for my students to take pride in their progress and achievements”, Naoko says.
“In the end, they’ll be grateful for their hard work and their parents’ unwavering support.”
