We are excited to announce Howard Shueh as the new Instructor of Kumon Maroubra Education Centre in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

Howard has prior corporate experience in the software-as-a-service industry as a customer success manager, and as a tutor working with students on their school work and exam preparation. Howard always enjoyed watching his students grow under his guidance, and so was looking for an opportunity where he could apply his business skills to his passion for education.

“I have always enjoyed my past experience working as a tutor and helping students with their learning”, Howard says. “It brought me a lot of joy when I was able to help guide the students through difficult questions and help them build a good attitude towards learning.”

“Although I have been in the corporate world for many years now, when I was offered this opportunity to become a Kumon Instructor, I decided to give it a go.”

Howard believes all local students can benefit from Kumon, and looks forward to welcoming many new students to the centre.

“I want my students to discover their love of learning and develop the right attitude towards facing difficult challenges that require time and effort,” Howard says.

“I believe besides the improvement to their school grades; these foundational skills will be the best thing [my students] can acquire.”

Kumon Maroubra is located at 9/828 Anzac Parade, Maroubra, NSW 2035. Classes operate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:15pm to 6:45pm, and on Sunday mornings from 10:15am to 12:45pm.

Howard takes the reins of Kumon Maroubra from long-term Instructor Patrick Li, who owned and operated the centre for 23 years.
