Meet the new Instructor of Kumon Castle Hill Education Centre

Michael Zhang, the new Instructor of Kumon Castle Hill Education Centre

Kumon Castle Hill Education Centre, in Sydney’s north-west, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Michael Zhang.

Michael has strong connections to the afterschool education sector in China, where he grew a business that served 10,000 students and employed over 150 staff members from 1999 to 2018. He then sold this business and moved to Australia.

Michael has always been impressed by the effectiveness of the Kumon Method in developing students’ skills in mathematics and reading, and sees developing Kumon Castle Education Centre as the next step in his professional career.

Kumon can play a key role in supporting families in Castle Hill and surrounding areas, by helping children build strong academic foundations and develop essential study habits from an early age.

“With a focus on self-learning, Kumon equips students, not just with maths and English skills, but also with confidence, self-discipline, and independence—traits that benefit them both in and outside the classroom”, Michael says.

“As families increasingly seek structured and effective learning programmes, Kumon offers a proven method that complements school education. By connecting with local schools, early learning centres, and family networks, I aim to make Kumon a trusted learning partner within the community, helping more children reach their full potential.”

Kumon Castle Hill Education Centre is located at 18/6-8 Old Castle Hill Road, Castle Hill, NSW 2154. Classes operate on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3pm to 7pm, and on Saturday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
