Kumon to reopen in Springvale, VIC

Mohammed Mohseen, Instructor of Kumon Spring Vale Education Centre, with one of his students.

Kumon Mathematics and English is returning to Springvale in Melbourne’s southeast, to help all local children develop their mathematics and reading ability.

Kumon Springvale Education Centre is led by Mohammed Mohseen, a HR consultant and husband of the Instructor of the Kumon centre in nearby Glen Waverley North. Mohseen has supported his wife’s centre for more than 15 years. It was this experience which inspired Mohseen to open his own Kumon centre in Springvale.

“Kumon doesn’t discriminate based on perceived ability or age. It assumes all students have the potential for self-learning and study beyond school grade”, Mohseen says.

“Having worked in a Kumon centre and seeing the results of this method was the key motivating factor in choosing to become a Kumon Instructor, and to provide access to this exceptional method of learning to more students”.

Classes run at Kumon Springvale on Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, and on Saturday mornings from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The centre is located at Suite 2, 387-389 Springvale Road, Springvale, VIC 3171. Mohseen looks forward to welcoming many students into the centre.

“Students need a nurturing environment with supportive staff, engaging content, and positive reinforcement to learn and grow”, he says. “I hope to nurture many students to reach their highest potential”.
