Kumon Australia is proud to announce its sponsorship of Chess Victoria’s Victorian Junior Rapid & Blitz Championships 2026 as the event’s Major Education Partner.

Taking place on 3 to 4 October 2026 at Bacchus Marsh Grammar’s Maddingley Campus in Melbourne, this exciting statewide event brings together talented young chess players from across Victoria for two action-packed days of rapid and blitz competition.

Chess challenges students to think ahead, stay focused and approach problems with confidence. These qualities strongly align with Kumon’s commitment to helping students develop concentration, independence and a positive attitude towards learning through our Maths and English programmes.

As Major Education Partner, Kumon looks forward to supporting young competitors as they test their skills, make new connections and enjoy the excitement of tournament chess.

Families attending the championships are invited to visit the Kumon booth throughout the event. Our team will be available to share information about Kumon Maths and English, explain how our individualised programmes support students of different ages and abilities, and answer questions from parents and carers.
