Kumon is now open in Riverstone, in Sydney’s north-western suburbs, to help all local children develop strong skills in maths and reading.
Kumon Riverstone Education Centre is led by Manisha Bakhru, who holds a master’s degree in education and has extensive corporate experience in human resources. Manisha has always held a passion for children’s education and this motivated her to open a Kumon centre.
“Becoming a Kumon Instructor allows me to combine my love for teaching with my desire to make a positive impact on the community,” Manisha says. “[It] gives me the opportunity to create a nurturing learning environment where students can develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong love for learning.”
Manisha says she looks forward to support her students to develop strong study habits and self-learning skills.
“I want every student and family to experience the joy of learning and the satisfaction that comes from steady progress [in Kumon],” Manisha says. “My goal is for students to become confident, independent learners who take pride in their achievements, and for families to see how Kumon supports their children’s growth both academically and personally.”
Kumon Riverstone Education Centre is located at 1 Garfield Road East, Riverstone, NSW 2765. Classes operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons from 3:30pm to 6:30pm. Manisha is excited to be welcoming many new students and families to Kumon Riverstone.
“I’m truly excited to be part of the Kumon community and to bring this proven learning method to more families”, she says. “My goal is to create a supportive and inspiring environment where every child can discover their potential and develop a lifelong love for learning.”
