Kumon is now available in Alexandria, in Sydney’s inner south, to help all local children develop confidence in the basics of maths and reading.

Kumon Alexandria Education Centre is led by Instructor Lui Yin Ko, a former real estate agent who is now following his passion for education.

“I chose to become a Kumon Instructor because I have a deep passion for education and a strong belief in every child’s potential to succeed with the right support”, Lui explains. “Kumon’s self-learning method aligns with my educational philosophy, empowering children to build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.”

“Opening a new centre allows me to bring this opportunity to more families in the local community and support students on their academic and personal growth journeys.”

Lui believes that in addition to building strong academic skills, Kumon supports students’ personal development.

“Kumon provides students with the tools and mindset to become independent learners who can tackle challenges with confidence”, Lui explains. “Kumon fosters lifelong skills such as perseverance, discipline, and time management that benefit students beyond the classroom.”

Kumon Alexandria is located at Collins on Bourke, Suite 1.22/90-96 Bourke Road, Alexandria NSW 2015. Classes operate on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, and on Saturday afternoons from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
