Meet the new Instructor of Kumon Wheelers Hill Education Centre

Kumon Wheelers Hill Education Centre, in Melbourne’s south-east, is now operating under the guidance of a new Instructor, Michael Susanto.

Michael’s journey with Kumon started as a student, when he completed the Mathematics programme by Year 6 of primary school. He then worked as centre assistant at the Kumon centre in Glen Waverley while completing university, before starting his career at Kumon Australia and New Zealand. While there, here he worked as a field development consultant and section leader in the Melbourne branch for nearly eight years, working closely with other Kumon Instructors to develop their centres.

Now, Michael is taking the reins of Kumon Wheelers Hill.

“I chose to take over this centre because it’s close to home, situated in a community that values education, and surrounded by excellent schools”, Michael says. “This environment perfectly aligns with my goal of fostering a love for learning and academic success in every child.”

Kumon Wheelers Hill has also relocated to Wheelers Hill Shopping Centre, Suite 41A/190-200 Jells Road, Wheelers Hill VIC 3150. Classes operate on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 3:30pm to 6:45pm, and on Friday afternoons from 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Michael is confident that his centre will help local students to thrive academically.

“Drawing from my extensive experience at Kumon, I am deeply committed to nurturing, guiding, and supporting young learners in the Wheelers Hill community”, Michael says.

“My goal is to help them build a strong foundation in their studies, empowering them with essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and discipline.”

“By mastering these foundational skills, students will not only excel academically but also develop the confidence and resilience needed to face challenges in life. I am dedicated to fostering an environment where every child can reach their full potential and achieve success in both their education and their future endeavours.”
